Ten questions to ask on a site visit

A site visit is your best chance to compare the promise with the place. Take this list along.

1. Can I see the registration certificate?
2. Which home is this price for: floor, facing and view?
3. What is included in the price, and what is extra (parking, maintenance deposit, club fees)?
4. What is the payment plan, and what triggers each instalment?
5. Who are the bank partners for loans?
6. What is the carpet area, not just the saleable area?
7. How far along is construction, and can I walk the site?
8. What are the monthly maintenance charges?
9. How is water supplied, and is there a backup?
10. What happens if possession is delayed?

Write the answers down. If a number changes later, you will know what was said.
